The National Textile University (NTU) Library organized a two-day Book Fair at the university campus in collaboration with the Society for Sustainable Development Goals (SSDG) and the Literary Society of NTU. The event was formally inaugurated by the Worthy Rector, Prof. Dr. Rashid Masood, at 10:00 a.m.

Addressing the gathering, Prof. Dr. Rashid Masood highlighted the importance of such literary events as a platform for educators and students to celebrate books and the joy of reading. He emphasized that in today’s digital age, reconnecting with books is essential for developing critical thinking, knowledge, and intellectual growth.

Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad, Senior Librarian, NTU, stated that the Book Fair was organized to pay tribute to books and their authors, while encouraging readers—particularly the younger generation—to rediscover the habit of reading. He added that the initiative reflects NTU’s commitment to fostering a peaceful, knowledgeable, and harmonious society through the promotion of literature and learning.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the NTU community and guests from various academic and administrative circles. A large number of faculty members, officers, staff, and students actively participated in the Book Fair, making the event a vibrant celebration of knowledge, literature, and academic culture at NTU.
