Yasir Nawab is an Assistant Professor at the National Textile University, Faisalabad, Pakistan. Currently, he is working as Chairman of Weaving and Knitting departments, Director Graduate Studies and Research and leading the Textile Composite Materials Research Group. His research areas are Polymers, Composite Materials, 2D & 3D woven and knitted fabrics, Finite element analysis and Analytical modeling. He is the author of over 41 peer-reviewed journal articles, 3 books/book chapters and 22 conference communications.

He is a Textile Engineer and gold medalist (2004) from National Textile University. In 2013, he did his postdoc from the ONERA (The French Aerospace lab) and University of Le Havre, France. He received his Ph.D at the University of Nantes, France in the domain of composite materials in 2012, which was declared as Remarkable Ph.D in science & Technology in that year.

He has worked in Pakistani industry, and gained teaching and research experience from local as well as International institutes.
