Achievements

QEC has significant role in securing the ranking of National Textile University among the Top Ten Engineering Universities of Pakistan.

For making NTU a quality-centric institution, the QEC performs various tasks/ assignments under the guidance of QAA of Higher Education Commission. The basic objective of the QEC is to ensure and enhance the quality of education to compete with counterparts within and across the boundaries. The QEC is responsible for planning and coordinating self-assessment activities in the University and is following the guidelines of the HEC and chalks out further plans for enhancement of quality education. QEC has achieved all targets in the action plan by the HEC and has improved its rating by securing highest 91% marks and earning highest ‘W’ category as per assessment results announced by Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) of HEC in 2015, which shows the commitment of QEC in promoting quality culture and establishing quality systems at NTU. QEC of NTU has been continuously rated in the top category of “W”.

  • Appreciation from HEC for achieving all the targets in the action plan by the HEC and for improving QEC rating by securing highest 91 % marks announced by QAA of HEC.
  • Appreciation from HEC for successful organization of Indigenous on Campus Training under Modern University Governance Program along with wining release of
    641,500/-
    for conducting second IOT, which is tentatively scheduled in next week.
  • QEC has performed Online Teacher Evaluation of all the Academic Programs offered by HEI, by the students for Fall-2015.
  • QEC has performed Online Course Evaluation of all the Academic Programs offered by HEI, by the students for Fall-2015.
  • Submission of Standardized Annual Report for the year 2014-15 of the University to HEC.
  • Submission of documentary evidence along with the nomination of Waqar Ahmad, Assistant Professor, for 7th International Advanced Program: Ensuring Training Effectiveness for Master Trainers – Faculty Professional Development Program
    (MT-FPDP) Alumni to HEC.
  • Submission of data of Scientists/ Scholars of National Textile University to Pakistan Scientific and Technology Information Center.
  • Provision of necessary support to HEC regarding Faculty Development Programs for Pakistani Universities through National Need Assessment for Future Research.
  • Provision of necessary support to HEC by reviewing the Plagiarism Policy.
  • Submission of Presentation on QEC performance during 2014-15 to HEC.
  • Participation in the 8th Progress Review Meeting & Workshop of Quality Enhancement Cells, falls under Phase (IV) group (IV) in HEC, Islamabad.
  • Successful organization of Audit on Institutional Performance Evaluation, Standard III, Good Governance and Organization along with HEC Experts following Prime Minister Directive.
  • Provision of necessary support to HEC regarding CGPA Equivalence and Minimum Eligibility Criteria for Admission in PhD.
  • Provision of necessary support to HEC regarding number of MS/ MPhil Scholars one MS/ MPhil Qualified Supervisor can supervise.

  • Successful implementation of Academic Quality Management System to improve the quality of teaching and learning in each subject area.
  • Participation in Continuing Professional Development Program on Statistical Tools for Research.
  • Participation in ‘DICE-TEXTILE 2016”, Textile Innovation Event.
  • Submission of requisite data to HEC for the Mapping of Pakistan Resource Centers.
  • Development of Course Specifications of Indigenous On Campus Training Program, Phase II.
  • Successful organization of Indigenous On-Campus Training Workshop for grade (7-16) specially for office staff in collaboration with HEC. The workshop was focused on performance management, professionalism, communication skills, ethics, team building and office bonding with the purpose to achieve goals.
