Department has following infrastructure and responsibilities.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Management of Data center<\/li>\n<li>Fiber optic sites connectivity<\/li>\n<li>Layer 03 Networks and Virtual LANs<\/li>\n<li>Active Directory Logins and Home Drives<\/li>\n<li>Controller Bases Wireless LAN to Campus and Hostels<\/li>\n<li>Secure and high speed internet access through Firewalls<\/li>\n<li>WebApps Like Faculty Profiles, Course Evaluation, Distributed Websites and Email Management<\/li>\n<li>Dreamspark Microsoft Software<\/li>\n<li>Printing Services for Students<\/li>\n<li>Video conferencing<\/li>\n<li>IT Training for university staff<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>NTU Library<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>NTU Library is housed in a two-story building and holds a unique collection of almost 19,700 information resources in textile engineering and allied disciplines. The library subscribed to twenty international and national textile journals in print format and have bound archives of core textile and Applied Sciences journals, some of them starting from 1918 to date Electronic access to more than 40,000 peer received titles is also available through HEC Digital Library Program. The library acquires a variety of resources i8n print, audiovisual and electronic formats to support study and research in the university and has a wide range of services, including borrowing, reference, user advisory, information literacy (IL), OPAC, photocopying, indexing, TOC alert etc.<\/p>\n<p>The library provides electronic services through electronic service lab that has ten computers, two scanners and three printers. The library web pages provide information about its staff, rules &amp; regulations, information services, collection, NTU student\u2019s projects, CD Roms, virtual library links, etc. The Virtual Library contains categorized links to websites of textile and general media, product sourcing and trade associations, research centers and institutes, universities and colleges, trade directories, computer and technology for textiles, electronic resources. Now the users can search their required title\/material everywhere, even through the cell phones at university website <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ntu.edu.pk\">www.ntu.edu.pk<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Digital Library<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Since 2008, National Textile University Library has subscribed more than 11,600 peer reviewed leading international journals and 40,000 online books available through National Digital Library Program of Higher Education Commission Islamabad. Users can browse, search and line to find exact information looking for, fast.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Healthcare (Doctor\u2019s Clinic)\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Students can avail the healthcare services on-campus from physician who is available for medical consultation.\u00a0 The doctor&#8217;s clinic is equipped with adequate medical supplies which include essential medicines and also facilitates health promotion and prevention services for students. \u00a0The clinic supervised by a devoted medical officer and staff , also to provide health care facilities to students, employees &amp; their dependent family members.<\/p>\n<p>Should you need to consult with the doctor or staff please visit between the following timings as:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Timing for Students of Under Graduate Classes= 8.30AM to 4.30PM<\/li>\n<li>Timing for Students of Post Graduate Classes= 4.30PM to 9.00PM<\/li>\n<li>In case of emergency for staff and all students for all office time = 8.30AM to 9.00PM<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>Transport<\/h3>\n<h4><strong>Routes &amp; Schedules<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The University provides pick and drop services to the students and staff from the campus to the different parts of the city according to the approved routes.\u00a0The below mentioned\u00a0<strong>Bus Route Details<\/strong>\u00a0give the exact pickup points of the buses.
