National Textile University Karachi Campus Fashion Design Program Showcases a Display – Inks and Echos: Impressions of Heritage on Fabric

The Fashion Design program at National Textile University, Karachi Campus, held a vibrant display titled Inks and Echos: Impressions of Heritage on Fabric on April 16, 2025. The showcase featured the creative works of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year students, highlighting their skills across a diverse range of textile and fashion design practices.

Students presented projects incorporating tie-dye, block printing, fabric painting, sustainable denim, and Egyptian-inspired embroidery, alongside garment construction, pattern utilization, and professionally developed technical packs (tech packs). Each piece reflected a thoughtful blend of traditional influences and contemporary fashion innovation. The display was organized under the guidance of Miss Hina Zehra and Miss Aliza Shah.

The event was well-received across the campus, with faculty members and students from other departments visiting and commending the originality and craftsmanship on display. The positive response served as a strong source of encouragement for the participating students.

NTU KC remains committed to providing experiential learning opportunities that nurture creativity, cultural awareness, and professional readiness in the field of fashion design.
