The Fashion Design Program at NTU Karachi Campus organized a one-day workshop titled "Thread and Twist" on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Abdul Haseeb Shaikh, a crochet crafter and co-founder of Slay and Sew. The session was arranged for the students of the Fashion Design Program to enhance their practical skills and understanding of traditional craft techniques.

Organized under the supervision of Miss Hina Zehra, Lecturer, Fashion Design Program, the workshop focused on introducing students to the fundamentals of crochet. Students enthusiastically participated in hands-on learning activities, where they were taught basic crochet stitches, techniques for creating different textures, and how crochet can be innovatively integrated into fashion design projects.

The workshop provided students with a valuable opportunity to develop new crafting skills, encouraging creativity and craftsmanship essential for their academic and professional growth in the design industry.

At the conclusion of the session, a shield of appreciation was presented to Mr. Abdul Haseeb Shaikh by the HOD-DTC, Dr. Muhammad Ayyoob Kamboh, in recognition of his valuable contribution and dedication to student learning.
