On Tuesday, November 12, 2024 – The Fashion Design Department at National Textile University Karachi Campus came alive with vibrant artistry as Freshers showcased an impressive Calavera Catrina-themed display under the supervision of Miss Tayyaba Syed, Lecturer, Fashion Design. This display uniquely transformed human anatomy into a bold and imaginative fashion experience, reflecting the students' innovative approach to design.

Drawing inspiration from the iconic Calavera Catrina, a symbol of celebration and remembrance, the Freshers reinterpreted complex anatomical forms into captivating designs, highlighting their creativity and technical skills. The display attracted the Director Campus, Prof. Dr. Khalid Pasha, HOD DTC Dr. Muhammad Ayyoob Kamboh, NSS Society members, and faculty from the Department of Textile and Clothing, who were all impressed by the intricate craftsmanship and creativity displayed by the first-year students.

The display not only demonstrated the Freshers' ability to challenge conventional fashion boundaries but also underscored NTU's commitment to fostering artistic exploration and cultural appreciation.
