The National Textile University (NTU), Karachi Campus has achieved a landmark academic milestone as Mr. Touqeer Hussain became the first student of the MS Textile and Apparel Program to successfully defend his MS thesis on 3rd July 2026. This historic achievement marks the successful beginning of postgraduate research at NTU Karachi Campus and reflects the University's commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and research-driven education. The milestone was achieved under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Khalid Pasha, Director, NTU Karachi Campus, with the academic support of Dr. Muhammad Ayyoob, Head of the Department.

The University acknowledges the dedicated supervision of Dr. Arsalan Ahmed and Dr. Danish Hassan, whose mentorship was instrumental in the successful completion of the research.
