Introduction
Society of Textile & Apparel Merchandisers provides students with a forum for enhancing their knowledge/work experience in order to conduct activities/workshops within universities or the industry. Society enables students to maintain contact with industrial management for business/work-related activities in order to improve their knowledge and groom themselves.
Objectives
- To integrate the students’ theoretical course knowledge with fundamental practical skills by organizing training workshops, career counselling seminars, and industrial tours.
- To eliminate the deficiencies of university students and increase their awareness of contemporary world issues through the organization of various activities concerning social, societal, and ethical events.
- To improve students’ communication, presentation, and interviewing skills by organizing a series of informative lectures and seminars.
- To enhance the managerial skills of students by involving them in the planning, organization, and coordination of various society events, thereby enhancing their positivity and professionalism in their business or professional lives.
- To assist students in visiting/interning in the merchandising and marketing department of the textile industry and observing their work environment.
How to become a member of the TAM Society
- Collect form from the university bookstore.
- To write/complete the form’s fundamental requirement.
- To determine which positions, you wish to apply for. (Posts vary per batch)
- No designated seats for freshman students.
- To submit the form to the society’s convener/president.
- After the form submission, an interview will be conducted.
- The selection will be based on a panel interview.
