National Textile University Celebrated Women's Day 2018


Woman – the power to create, nurture and transform.  

Women’s Day is celebrated worldwide on 08 March every year in the honor of incredible contribution to our society. This day memorializes the inspiring role of women around the world. Celebrating Women’s Day is to honor and share the gratitude to each and every woman in one’s professional or personal life. Women’s Day acknowledges the powerful role of women in all spheres of life.

Women are participating in almost every field of life. They are striving not only to carve their own way to success but to bring glory and recognition to the nation and the country. Women’s Day is just an emblem to express gratitude and recognition to all the women who are contributing in any way to our lives and society. It tributes the power and struggles of women who have broken all barriers and reached the pinnacle of success in every sphere of life.

Highlighted Features of Women’s’ Day Event:

Women’s day at NTU was celebrated with the thought of “Inspire for Positivity” and with the message of “Being Staunch in Achieving the Goals of Life”.

To acknowledge this day in a distinct way, A theme-based drawing/painting competition was organized by Design department, NTU. The theme for this competition was “My Inspirational Women” Students exhibit their thoughts by portraying inspirational women of their lives on canvas. Another exclusive effort was a concept-based Poster competition. To encourage students winners were also announced of these competitions.

A powerful dramatic performance was presented with the message of “Educate Girls to Educate Generation”. The performance was well displayed by the students and appreciated by everyone at the forum.

The foremost highlight of this event was Motivational talk by leading and successful women in their fields. Dr. Nazia Tanveer, a leading and pioneer female psychologist in Faisalabad and Dr. Hafsa, Motivational speaker and physiatrist were invited on this forum to share their success stories to motivate and inspire students and faculty.

Speaking on the occasion Dr. Zafar Javed (Registrar, NTU) said that Women must be acknowledged for their immense role in shaping our homes, lives and society. He acknowledged the contribution and efforts of female staff and faculty of NTU and encouraged young students to work & strive hard to achieve the objective of life. He also appreciated efforts of organizing team to arrange this prestigious event.
