Fashion Design Students Transform Special Education Spaces through Community Service Project

The School of Arts & Design National Textile University Faisalabad has initiated a series of community service projects highlighting the role of design education in creating social impact. As part of this initiative, the students of 6th and 2nd semesters of the Fashion Design Department actively participated in the project at Government Special Education Center, Iqbal Town Faisalabad. The project focused on redesigning classrooms and corridors to provide an engaging, inclusive and supportive learning environment for special children.

This meaningful project was led by Mr. Shahid Zaheer (Program Director Fashion Design), Mr. Muhammad Saqib (Lecturer Fashion Design) and Dr. Muhammad Yaseen (Assistant Professor). Under their guidance, students applied their creative and practical skills to transform educational spaces into vibrant environments that could enhance learning experiences for children with special needs. The School of Arts & Design is proud of its students’ commitment to combining creativity with community service, demonstrating how design can contribute positively to the society.
