Biography

Mr. Nasir Ali has been serving as a Lecturer of English at National Textile University, Faisalabad since March 2010. He is currently teaching at the Faisalabad Business School, where he offers undergraduate courses including Functional English and Expository Writing, and has previously taught Managerial Communication to MBA classes.

He has held several academic and administrative roles over the years, including more than five years of service as the Coordinator of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences. He currently serves as the Class Advisor for the BSTAM program and as the Coordinator of the Job Placement Cell for all Faisalabad Business School programs.

Mr. Ali is pursuing his PhD in Applied Linguistics from Government College University, Faisalabad (GCUF), where he is currently working on his thesis in the field of Humor Studies and Semiotics.

He earned his Master’s in English Literature (2007) and MPhil in Applied Linguistics (2011) from GCU Faisalabad. His MPhil research focused on Pakistani English, an area that continues to shape his academic interests.

His broader areas of research include Pakistani English, Corpus Linguistics, and Humor in Media Discourse, while his teaching interests lie in English Grammar, Technical Writing, and Business Communication.

He has also contributed to academic and extracurricular development at NTU as an Advisor to the NTU Newsletter, and as a member of the advisory boards of the university magazines Kavish and Textec.

Mr. Nasir Ali has three research publications to his credit and remains actively engaged in curriculum development, particularly in revising and enhancing course content for Functional English, Communication Skills, Expository Writing, and Technical Writing. He is deeply committed to student development, with a focus on building confidence, communication skills, and character.
