The opening ceremony of the Inter-Departmental Football Championship 2026 was held at the Football ground of the National Textile University. Dr. Muhammad Qamar Khan (Associate Professor / Chairman, Department of Clothing) inaugurated the event. The Opening match was played between the teams from the Department of Textile Technology (TET) and the Department of Fashion Design. The team from the Department of Fashion Design won the match by 3-2. Mr. Imran Ali (Sports Officer) and Sardar Pervaiz Akhtar (PRO) were also present during the event.
