The Opening Ceremony of the Inter-Departmental Badminton Championship 2026 was held at the Multipurpose Hall of National Textile University on April 20, 2026. Dr. Danish Mahmood Baitab (Director Advisor Student) inaugurated the event. The opening match was played between the Department of Textile Technology and the Department of Fashion Design. The Department of Textile Technology team won the match by 2-1. Mr. Waqar Ahmad (Assistant Professor, Convener Sports Committee), Mr. Imran Ali (Sports Officer), Mr. Sajid Anwar (Physical Training Instructor), and Sardar Pervaiz Akhtar (PRO) were also present during the event.
