The 8th Textile Premier (Cricket )League was inaugurated at the National Textile University Faisalabad by Dr. Muzzamal Hussain, Director of the National Textile Composite Materials Center. The ceremony was attended by the university's Sports Committee Convener Waqar Ahmad , Hafiz Talal Safdar Awan, Mian Qasim Hassan, Imran Ali Gill, Sports Officer Sardar Parvez Akhtar, faculty members, and staff.  

During the opening ceremony, Dr. Muzzamal Hussain extended his best wishes to the participating athletes and emphasized that the league serves as an excellent platform not only for promoting sports but also for fostering team spirit and a healthy competitive spirit among students. He highlighted the university administration's commitment to taking all possible measures to promote sports and extracurricular activities.  

Sports Committee Convener Waqar Ahmed Tattla stated that this year's tournament features multiple teams from various departments, and he expressed hope that the matches would be conducted with great enthusiasm. He urged the players to adhere to the rules of the game and exhibit sportsmanship throughout the competition.  

The Textile Premier League aims to encourage healthy activities among students through sports and to hone their talents. The tournament is held annually and enjoys immense popularity among the university's students and staff.  

Following the inaugural ceremony, the first match of the tournament was played, with participants showcasing great energy and passion. At the conclusion of the tournament, the winning teams and players will be awarded prizes.
