The 9th Textile Premier League (Cricket) was inaugurated at the National Textile University, Faisalabad, by Dr. Hafsa Jamshaid, Chairperson Department of Textile Engineering. The ceremony was attended by Dr. Danish Mahmood Baitab, Dr. Habib Awais, Dr. Muhammad Bilal Qadir, Dr. Muhammad Haroon Rashid, Dr. Muzzamal Hussain, Dr. Usman Zubair, Imran Ali Gill (Sports Officer), Sardar Parvez Akhtar (PRO), faculty members, and staff. During the opening ceremony, Dr. Hafsa Jamshaid extended her best wishes to the participating athletes. She highlighted the university administration's commitment to taking all possible measures to encourage sports and extracurricular activities.Dr. Hafsa Jamshaid noted that this year's tournament features multiple teams from various departments and expressed hope that the matches would be conducted with great enthusiasm. 
The Textile Premier League aims to encourage healthy student activity through sports and to hone their talents. The tournament is held annually and enjoys immense popularity among the university's students and staff.
