The opening ceremony of the Inter-Departmental Table Tennis Championship 2026 was held in the multipurpose hall of the National Textile University, Faisalabad. Dr. Zulfiqar Ali Raza, Associate Professor / Chairman of Applied Sciences, inaugurated the event. The opening match was played between the Department of Textile Technology and the Department of Fashion Design. The Department of Textile Technology team won the match by 2–1. Mr. Waqar Ahmad (Assistant Professor, Convener of the Sports Committee), Mr. Imran Ali (Sports Officer), and Sardar Pervez Akhtar (PRO) were also present during the event.
